VICTORY BREWING PRIMA PILS BRINGS HOME SILVER ON TWO CONTINENTS

(Downingtown, PA) — Downingtown, Pennsylvania, based Victory Brewing Company claimed a silver medal in each of two of the most prestigious beer competitions in the world including the Great American Beer Festival (October 2007 – Colorado, U.S.A.) and the European Beer Star Competition (November 2007 – Nurmberg, Germany)

These awards add to a long line of accolades for the distinguished brand, Prima Pils. Other recent awards and distinctions include, “Best Pilsner in the World” – The New York Times March 2005, “Best Pilsner in the World” Men’s Journal July 2005, “Honorable Mention Pilsner” Men’s Journal October 2006 and October 2007, 2004 Bronze Medal at the European Beer Star Competition, 2002-2005 Grand Champion Pilsner in the United States Beer Tasting Championships, and numerous unofficial accolades from newspapers and magazines around the United States.

This year a record number, 473 breweries, supplied 2793 beer styles for judging at the 27th Annual Great American Beer Festival. On average 37 beer samples were represented in each category. In the 4th Annual European Beer Star Competition 575 brews from 27 nations were tested based on sensory analysis and enjoyment.
