VICTORY BREWING SHARES SUCCESS WITH NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN 2006
OCTOBERFEAST RAISED NEARLY $9,000 FOR THE BRANDYWINE VALLEY ASSOCIATION IN ITS FIRST YEAR
(Downingtown, PA) — Victory Brewing Company ends another year of both successful brewing and philanthropic contributions. In 2006, the newest charitable event conceived of by Victory Brewing founder and brewmaster Bill Covaleski was Octoberfeast. The event, held September 23, 2006, raised money for the Brandywine Valley Association and their efforts to protect Chester County’s rivers and streams. In total, nearly $9,000 was raised through a combination of ticket sales, event sponsorship, and a silent auction held day of.
“We are very pleased to have created something that was not only very enjoyable for guests, but that also was beneficial in protecting one of our area’s most important resources, the area’s waterways,” said Covaleski.
The Brandywine Valley Association is one of nearly 200 organizations charitably supported in 2006 by Victory Brewing Company. Some other notable events that helped raise money for local and regional non-profit organizations included Victory Fall Fest to support local Downingtown area fire companies and The Brewer’s Plate to support The White Dog Café Foundation. In total, more than $50,000 was donated to charitable organizations by Victory Brewing throughout the year.
“Octoberfeast helped our organization meet a stretch goal we set for the year,” said Bob Struble, Brandywine Valley Association executive director.
Looking ahead, Victory Brewing looks to continue its positive philanthropic efforts.
“In 2007, we look forward to supporting the many organizations we have in the past along with new and deserving non-profit groups,” said Covaleski.
