Philly Beer Week kicks off this Friday, June 1. It is a week of incredible beers, thrilling events and total insanity. Only the strong survive. Thank goodness we’ve named ourselves Victory.

If you’re up for the challenge, join us in drinking your way through the city for ten days (that’s right folks, the creators of Philly Beer Week have decided that a week is now 10-days long).

Friday, June 1

Opening Tap
Independence Visitor Center

Join Victory at the kick off the world’s largest beer celebration of its kind with a festival like no other. Welcome the arrival of the Hammer of Glory from its daylong relay through the streets of Philadelphia, cheer award-winning brewers and watch Mayor Nutter smash open the first official keg of the week: Brotherly Suds 3. Victory will also be pouring Summer Love Ale and Headwaters Pale Ale.

Join Victory Brewing Company at Sugar House Casino during Philly Beer Week. Enjoy free samples of Summer Love Ale and pick up some beer knowledge from a Victory brewer. Get a free $25 poker chip voucher when you buy a $5 pint and $5 sampler combo.

Join Victory at Chestnut 7 for a firkin event! We will be pouring Uncle Teddy’s Bitter. This classic style bitter is full and creamy on the tongue with no ‘bite’ as the name might suggest. Golden in color and mild in character, it’s a ‘session’ beer that satisfies. If you have never experienced a Victory firkin, do yourself a favor and join us for this event!

Join Victory on Friday, June 1 as Barcade kicks off Philly Beer Week with a bang!
Beers will be on tap at noon when the doors open and will be flowing until we’ve drunk them all. There will be many specialty beers on tap, including Victory’s own Otto in Oak and Ranch Double IPA.

Summer Sunset Session Ale Celebration

In honor of Philly Beer Week, join Victory at TIME after the Phillies game. We will be celebrating summer and all the great beers that come with it. Featuring: Victory’s best session brew’s including a firkin! Awesome food will be available as well.

Join Greg (the tallest Victory employee) at Johnny Brenda’s on the first Saturday of Philly Beer week! It’s their 3rd year running with this cask beer riot! Enjoy fresh, delicious local beer, including a firkin of Victory Storm King, from a custom welded rack that holds six firkins and sits atop the bar. The kitchen will be serving up fish and chips and meat pies. DJs will be spinning British rock all day.

Victory is taking over the taps at Irish Pol. Let’s celebrate Victory during the Phillies vs. Marlins game starting at 1:35pm. There will be giveaways and tickets to an upcoming game!

Craft Beer Day on East Passyunk

Join Victory Brewing Company as East Passyunk Avenue kicks off Philly Beer Week with a full day of craft beer events! Join Victory Brewing Company at Percy Street Barbecue’s Annual Ride the Mechanical Bull. Percy Street has upped the ante this year with the first official team competition. Victory will have their own team – try to outride us! You and four others (a team of 5) can compete for the coveted trophy. Enjoy a Victory rarity, Throwback Lager before you face the bull. Competition starts at 8p.m., Practice starts at 6p.m. All teams must be signed up prior to 7:30p.m.

The last Whole Foods we will be hitting is Plymouth Meeting. Victory’s own Adam and Madeline will be up on the roof at the Taco Truck sampling Summer Love, Headwaters Pale Ale, Helios and several others.  We will also have some limited draft on for the night. So stop down after work and come join us.

The Victory Brewing Story

The story of Victory Brewing Company starts on a school bus in 1973 when fifth-graders Ron Barchet and Bill Covaleski stepped aboard, on their way to a new school. The two became fast friends and remained so, even as they grew up and went to college on opposite coasts. Just months out of college, Bill’s appreciation of good beer and access to his father’s home brewing equipment inspired him to explore the hobby. That same year (1985), Bill gave Ron a home brewing kit as a Christmas gift. With that, both Bill and Ron developed their love of the craft…
