This was a tough decision! We have long known that we have the best fans in the biz, but once again, we were overwhelmed with just how passionate and creative our craft beer-loving community is. THANK YOU to each and every one of you who took the time to enter this contest. In the end, it was Jordan’s caption and travel philosophy that helped him claim Victory by a narrow margin. Take a look below: we couldn’t agree with him more and think you will as well. If chosen as the Grand Prize winner, we know he will embark on this incredible four-week, round-the-world journey as a true ambassador of Victory, delicious craft beer and the great people, like all of you, who support it!

But now, it’s time to support Jordan! Head to the World’s Best Beer Trip website at and cast your vote. The competition is steep, but after all, we are VICTORY, so let’s go claim it!

Six of the world’s best breweries, across five countries, over four weeks: one lucky person has the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip of a lifetime

Victory Brewing Company has teamed up with some of the world’s leading craft breweries to offer one lucky beer lover the trip of a lifetime! Together with 4 Pines Brewing Company (Sydney, Australia), Feral Brewing Company (Perth, Australia), Good George Brewing (Hamilton, New Zealand), Meantime Brewing (London, England) and The Brew (Shanghai, China), we have put together what people in some circles (namely, the beer enthusiasts at the breweries listed above) are calling “the most fun beer trip, ever, in the history of beer. EVER!”

The lucky winner will be flown craft beer class (economy) on a round-the-world ticket, stopping at each city, visiting each brewery and getting a first-hand look at what it takes to keep each of our operations ticking. And enjoying world-class beer from around the globe, in the process. All accommodations and dinner each night will be provided, allowing the winner to become widely familiar with the menus of some of the best brewpubs from around the world as well.  Check out more here

So what does it take to win the World’s Best Beer Trip? Well, you tell us! We want the world to show us why they love craft beer and better yet, why one lucky winner deserves to take a trip of a lifetime.

Here’s How it Works
The idea is simple: upload a photo along with a no more than 50 word caption telling us why you should win the world’s best beer trip using the official entry form below, and then post your photo to Instagram using the #worldsbestbeertrip hashtag. It’s easy right? Not like orchestrating a round-the-world photo competition, which took quite a bit of planning, so be sure to read the official Rules and Conditions carefully before submitting your entry! Once you’re ready, follow this process

  1. Eligible U.S. entrants must complete the Official Entry Form at this link in its entirety and check the box to acknowledge that you have read and understand our Rules, before October 7, 2013 at 8:00 PM EST. Sorry all, but pictures and captions only posted through Instagram and not submitted through the official entry form, will not be counted.
  2. Next, it’s time to socialize! Post your entry on Instagram using the hashtag #worldsbestbeertrip and don’t forget to tag us @victorybeer, or another participating brewery at @4pinesbeer, @feralbrewing, @goodgeorgebeer, @meantimebrewing or @thebrew to have your entry appear on the Worlds Best Beer Trip Statigram page, along with the rest of the photos from around the world. This is a big step! And will help this contest live up to its potential for total, GLOBAL craft beer domination of epic proportions.
  3. Each of the other participating breweries will be hosting their own contest, and modes of entry will vary from country to country. But after all of the entries have been collected from AROUND THE WORLD, the esteemed judges at Victory, as well as at each participating brewery, will select one lucky fan each to represent their region as a contest Finalist.
  4. Each of the six Finalists’ photos and captions will be posted to the World’s Best Beer Trip Official Website, at (get ready!), and that’s where you come back in! Until October 21, 2013, fans throughout the international beer drinking community can vote on their favorite and the official Winner will be announced on October 22, 2013.

Pretty awesome, right?

If you’re not pumped at this point, just download and watch this video, and read about a few of the awesome breweries participating in this trip of a lifetime, below. And then grab your camera and get to work! After all, this is the World’s Best Beer Trip. Ever. And you don’t want to miss it!

Cheers and good luck!
About the participating breweries …

Good George Brewing
Based in the old St George Anglican church in Hamilton, New Zealand, Good George has achieved significant success with its beer and innovative ciders. Good George is on a mission to produce approachable beer of exceptional quality and to raise the profile of craft beer in New Zealand.

Feral Brewing Company
Feral Brewing Co. is a craft brewery located in the Swan Valley, Perth’s wine region approximately 20km outside of the Perth CBD. The brewery was formed by a group of friends after a trip to the US and started operating as a brewpub and restaurant in October 2002. At the time the beer landscape in Western Australia was relatively bland and Feral set out to create a difference in the domesticated Australian beer scene. Feral Brewing Co produces 16 full time beers, with 4 full time bottled beers being distributed throughout Australia. Visit

Meantime Brewing
Meantime Brewery was founded thirteen years ago in Greenwich, London. The brewery is now one of the UK’s largest craft breweries and still continues to make its beers in the same way, having built a state-of-the-art brewery in 2010. There are eight bottled beers in Meantime’s core bottled range: London Lager, London Pale Ale, Meantime Chocolate Porter, Meantime Pilsner, Meantime Wheat, Meantime Raspberry, Yakima Red and London Stout. ONE lucky winner – so you don’t get to bring you and a friend? Seems kinda odd/alcoholic to go on a worlds best beer trip without a friend/buddy!

Wendy, that just means more beer for me, and I’m sure I will make tons of new friends if I am lucky enough to win!

The Victory Brewing Story

The story of Victory Brewing Company starts on a school bus in 1973 when fifth-graders Ron Barchet and Bill Covaleski stepped aboard, on their way to a new school. The two became fast friends and remained so, even as they grew up and went to college on opposite coasts. Just months out of college, Bill’s appreciation of good beer and access to his father’s home brewing equipment inspired him to explore the hobby. That same year (1985), Bill gave Ron a home brewing kit as a Christmas gift. With that, both Bill and Ron developed their love of the craft…
