2014 Find Your Summer Love Sweepstakes


Sponsors: Victory Brewing Company and the Greater Philadelphia Tourism and Marketing Corporation d/b/a VISIT PHILADELPHIA™ (collectively, “Sponsors”)

Timing: The “Find Your Summer Love Sweepstakes” (“Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:01 p.m. (all times are Eastern Time) on Monday, April 14, 2014 and ends at 12:00 p.m. on June 22, 2014. (“Sweepstakes Period”). All Winners will be notified no later than June 25, 2014.

How to Enter: Scan the QR code found on select Summer Love Ale posters and coasters and complete the online entry information. Alternative methods for entering include visiting www.victorybeer.com/fysl and completing official entry form or sending a note card with entrant name, date of birth and mailing address to Victory Brewing Company, ATTN: Find Your Summer Love, 420 Acorn Lane, Downingtown, PA 19335. Valid entries are limited to one per person per, day person through the contest period.

Eligibility: Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (except New York, Rhode Island, California and Tennessee) 21 years old and over. Void in New York, Rhode Island, California, Tennessee and where otherwise prohibited by law. Sponsors’ officers, directors and employees  are not eligible to participate. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

Selection: 250 Runners Up and one Winner will be selected randomly during the Sweepstakes Period and will be notified via email, phone or USPS of their status no later than June 25, 2014.

Prize: Up to 250 Runners Up will be awarded a Prize no greater in value than $5. Prizes do not include alcoholic beverages. No substitution for Prize awarded will be made, except at Sponsors’ sole discretion. The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-negotiable for cash, and may not be resold. No substitution of the Prize or any component thereof is permitted, except in the discretion of the Sponsors, which reserve the right to substitute the Prize for something of equal value. All taxes are the responsibility of the Prize Winner.

Grand Prize:  One Winner will be awarded the Grand Prize, which includes two (2) economy class airfare tickets for the Grand Prize Winner and a guest from a major airport near Winner’s home; ground transportation from the airport; and over-night hotel accommodations and dinner daily for two nights and three days beginning July 4, 2014. All expenses and costs associated with the acceptance or use of the Grand Prize that are not expressly specified in these Official Rules as being part of the Grand Prize (including without limitation tips, other unspecified expenses, hotel service charges, or applicable fees) are the responsibility of the winner. Selection of departure airport is at the sole discretion of Sponsors. All fees associated with travel to the departure airport near the winner’s home are the sole responsibility of winner.

The Grand Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-negotiable for cash, and may not be resold. No substitution of the Prize or any component thereof is permitted, except in the discretion of the Sponsors, which reserve the right to substitute the Grand Prize for a prize of equal value. The Winner takes the Grand Prize entirely at his/her own risk and indemnifies Sponsors in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, property damage or loss of life that may occur in connection with the prize. The Winner is responsible for all insurance, federal, state and local taxes on Prize value, if applicable, are the sole responsibility of winner.

Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the Grand Prize is $1,500. Any difference between the stated ARV and actual value, if any, will not be awarded.  Sponsors reserve the right to refuse to award any prize to an entrant who Sponsors decide (in its sole discretion) has violated the Rules, gained unfair advantage in participating in the competition or won using fraudulent means.

Limitation of Prizes: The Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize (or portions thereof) of equal value if prize (or portions thereof) cannot be awarded as described. The Sponsors will determine all elements of prizes in its sole discretion. Prizes may not be assigned, transferred, changed or redeemed for cash, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsors. PRIZES ARE AWARDED “AS IS” WITH NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. SPONSORS DISCLAIM ALL AND ANY LIABILITY FOR THE ACTUAL PROVISION, QUALITY OR NATURE OF ANY THIRD PARTY PRODUCT OR SERVICE ACCEPTED BY THE WINNER.

The Winner and their companion will be required to sign an affidavit and release form (the “Affidavit and Release Form”) confirming compliance with the official rules, acceptance of a prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Sponsors, their affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability in connection with a prize or the Sweepstakes. The Affidavit and Release Form must be returned within the time period specified on the Affidavit and Release Form or the prize will be forfeited. Delivery of the prizes will be coordinated with the winner by the Sponsors, upon receipt of the Affidavit and Release Form.

The awarding of any prize is contingent upon full compliance with these Official Rules. Entrants agree to be bound by Official Rules. Entrants understand the Sponsors are not liable for injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in this Sweepstakes and acceptance, possession and use of prize. Sponsors are not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prizes. Decisions of Sponsors are final and binding in all respects.

Dispute Resolution: Except where prohibited, by participating in the Sweepstakes entrants agree that: all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the participant(s) and Sponsors and its agents shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the State of Pennsylvania without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law of any jurisdiction. Entrant agrees that any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes, or awarding of the prizes, shall be filed only in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania and entrant hereby consents and submits to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action. EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED, BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS SWEAPSTAKES, EACH ENTRANT AGREES THAT: (A) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS, AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THIS SWEAPSTAKES, OR AWARDING OF THE PRIZES, SHALL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION; AND (B) ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND AWARDS SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED, INCLUDING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATING IN THIS SWEAPSTAKES BUT IN NO EVENT ATTORNEYS’ FEES; AND (C) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY PARTICIPANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN AWARDS FOR AND HEREBY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES AND ANY OTHER DAMAGES, OTHER THAN FOR ACTUAL OUT-OF- POCKET EXPENSES, AND ANY AND ALL RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
General Terms:  Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use the Finalist and the Winner’s name, hometown, voice, likeness, photograph and any statements regarding this Sweepstakes for editorial, public relations, promotional and advertising purposes on behalf of Sponsors without compensation. By participating and winning a prize, winner releases Sponsors, and its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability with respect to the prize won and participation in the Sweepstakes, subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Taxes on prizes are sole responsibility of winner.

The Sponsors assume no responsibility for entries it is unable to process due to network, hardware or other technical failures, or any other reason, or incomplete, damaged, misdirected, illegible, stolen or lost entries. Sponsors reserve the right, in its sole discretion to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the web site or otherwise, in violation of the rules. Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any non-conforming entries. Sponsors further reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or modify this Sweepstakes if not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, technical corruption, non-authorized human intervention or force majeure. In the event of cancellation, Sponsors reserves the right to select winner from among all eligible entries received prior to date of cancellation. The use of automated entry systems or any other conduct that impedes the integrity of the Sweepstakes is prohibited. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, notice will be posted on www.victorybeer.com/fysl. Sponsors reserve the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Sweepstakes on the Internet should a computer virus, unauthorized intervention or other cause corrupt the integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of any online contestant, contestant will be deemed the individual named on the online entry form.

The Victory Brewing Story

The story of Victory Brewing Company starts on a school bus in 1973 when fifth-graders Ron Barchet and Bill Covaleski stepped aboard, on their way to a new school. The two became fast friends and remained so, even as they grew up and went to college on opposite coasts. Just months out of college, Bill’s appreciation of good beer and access to his father’s home brewing equipment inspired him to explore the hobby. That same year (1985), Bill gave Ron a home brewing kit as a Christmas gift. With that, both Bill and Ron developed their love of the craft…
