The 9/11 Heroes Run Unites communities internationally with the goal to never forget the sacrifices of the heroes of September 11 and in the wars since: veteran, first responder, civilian and military. Join us to raise awareness and honor the fallen.

All runners will receive a free meal catered by Victory. Those 21+ will also receive a free beer.

Run, Volunteer, Donate, Cheer…but most of all: HONOR

The 9/11 Heroes Run 5k +1M fun run/walk welcomes runners and walkers of all levels and of all ages. Events take place all over the world, on or near September 11th, and are 100% organized by local community volunteers. It is the perfect opportunity for your community to personally come out and thank your local veterans, their families and first responders in an annual fun and family friendly environment!

  • Date: 9/8/13
  • Cost: 5K = $25, Family of 4 = $80, 1Mile Fun Run/Walk = $15
  • Packet Pick-up: Gretz Beer Company (710 East Main St., Norristown), on Friday 9/6/2013 from 4 pm – 6 pm and Saturday 9/7/2013 from 10 am to 2 pm.
  • Local Community Non-profit Partner: Net race proceeds will be donated locally to the Brad Fox Foundation & the Hero Fund of Montco.
  • Sign up today! You must register online by September 1st to be guaranteed a race shirt and finisher’s dogtag.  Shirts and dogtags will be given out on a first come, first served basis to race-day registrants.

The Victory Brewing Story

The story of Victory Brewing Company starts on a school bus in 1973 when fifth-graders Ron Barchet and Bill Covaleski stepped aboard, on their way to a new school. The two became fast friends and remained so, even as they grew up and went to college on opposite coasts. Just months out of college, Bill’s appreciation of good beer and access to his father’s home brewing equipment inspired him to explore the hobby. That same year (1985), Bill gave Ron a home brewing kit as a Christmas gift. With that, both Bill and Ron developed their love of the craft…
