Join Victory’s Dirty Firkins at the 2014 Band of Brewers!

This year, Band of Brewers is back and they’re stepping it up a notch with even more bands. Many of last years bands will take the stage again, along with a handful of new ones. The MC for the evening will once again be the one and only Curt Decker of Nodding Head Brewery.  As with last years rules, each band will have the opportunity to perform 3 songs on stage. They can play any songs of their choosing, which can be either covers or originals. They will have a panel of “celebrity” judges on hand to critique the performances and pick a winner. The audience will be able to get in on the judging process this year as well, as each attendee will get a vote to cast.  They will once again be raising money for charity, as part of the proceeds will go to the charity of choice of the winning band.

Each brewery will be represented by draft beers of their choice, so expect a pretty awesome lineup of local craft beer. World Cafe Lives normal full service bar will be open if you decide to drink something other than beer. There will also be food available for purchase for those who desire more than just beer to get through the concert.

The Victory Brewing Story

The story of Victory Brewing Company starts on a school bus in 1973 when fifth-graders Ron Barchet and Bill Covaleski stepped aboard, on their way to a new school. The two became fast friends and remained so, even as they grew up and went to college on opposite coasts. Just months out of college, Bill’s appreciation of good beer and access to his father’s home brewing equipment inspired him to explore the hobby. That same year (1985), Bill gave Ron a home brewing kit as a Christmas gift. With that, both Bill and Ron developed their love of the craft…
