Join Victory Brewing Company and the Friedreichs Ataxia Research Alliance(FARA) for a day of physical achievement and family fun. The 5th Annual Ride Ataxia will offer 5, 10, 25, and 50 mile cycling routes on scenic country roads. Ride Ataxia benefits FARA- a nonprofit organization dedicated to research leading to a cure for Friedreich’s ataxia (FA).  After the race, enjoy a Victory beer (21+).

Registration is limited to the first 800 participants. Same day registration is permitted only if space is available.

ROUTES:

  • 1 mile route (To be repeated up to 5 times): Beginner. On campus. Minimal traffic.
  • 5 mile route: Beginner. Neighborhood ride. Varied traffic conditions.
  • 10 mile route: Beginner-Intermediate. Neighborhood ride. Varied traffic conditions. (This route is a 5 mile route to be repeated twice)
  • 25 mile route: Intermediate. Rolling hills, varied traffic conditions.
  • 50 mile route: Advanced cyclists only. Rolling hills, varied traffic conditions.

The Victory Brewing Story

The story of Victory Brewing Company starts on a school bus in 1973 when fifth-graders Ron Barchet and Bill Covaleski stepped aboard, on their way to a new school. The two became fast friends and remained so, even as they grew up and went to college on opposite coasts. Just months out of college, Bill’s appreciation of good beer and access to his father’s home brewing equipment inspired him to explore the hobby.
