Doppelbock arose from a brewing tradition started by the monks of St. Francis of Paula in 1634. We have put a Franconian (German) twist on the style by incorporating malt kilned over beechwood fires from the town of Bamberg for additional depth.
Malt: Pilsner, Munich, Caramel, Smoked Malt
Dark and rich, malty flavors are punctuated by wisps of smoke in this warming and sweet Doppelbock. Long, cold aging mellows the strong temperament of this subtle beer.
Burgers and soft cheese
