Overview:
Working with the Victory Brewing Company team, the General Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all process equipment and vehicles, along with general facilities maintenance throughout the brewery and restaurant.
Reports to:
Facilities Maintenance Manager
Job Description: Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Repair and maintain equipment and facility as needed or directed by brewery management including lubrication and preventive maintenance
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs as well as interpret electrical drawings, plumbing, drywall, woodwork, and repair food service equipment
- Repair and maintain forklifts
- Organize and maintain the spare parts inventory
- Keep accurate and complete records of repairs and preventative maintenance tasks as completed
- Install new equipment
- Identify, suggest, propose, and discuss solutions to equipment and facility issues with brewery management
- Assist in keeping maintenance shop neat and organized
- Provide basic hand tools for maintenance projects
Job Requirements:
- Possess experience in structural welding
- Work with a high degree of autonomy with minimal supervision to support production priorities
- Positive can-do attitude and sense of urgency in performing duties
- Work in a safe manner to ensure your safety and that of others are in accordance with OSHA and company policy
- Availability to work a flexible schedule (2 shifts) to support 24-hour production operations
- Ability to be available for on-call weekend duty
- Minimum 5 years related experience
