Victory’s 2012 Saison du BUFF Available Mid-April

Collaboration with Dogfish Head and Stone Breweries Returns

DOWNINGTOWN, PA – In collaboration with brewery owners Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and Greg Koch of Stone Brewing Co., Victory Brewing Company is bringing Saison du BUFF back. The saison-style ale was first brewed in 2010 as a one-time project, but is back in 2012 by popular demand. Victory plans to ship Saison du BUFF to wholesalers on April 5.

As with the original recipe created in 2010, Victory’s version of the 2012 recipe features organic parsley, lemon thyme, sage and rosemary. New for this release, all of the fresh herbs were grown at Stone Farms.

“I remember first tasting Saison du BUFF,” said Bill Covaleski, President and Brewmaster of Victory Brewing Company. “I swear that on my third sip, my mind and stomach screamed ‘must get roast chicken’ at me as the savory broth of herbs and malty delight conjured up real desires.”

Saison du BUFF is made with imported malts, whole flower American hops and fresh herbs. Alcohol by volume is 6.8%.

The Victory Brewing Story

The story of Victory Brewing Company starts on a school bus in 1973 when fifth-graders Ron Barchet and Bill Covaleski stepped aboard, on their way to a new school. The two became fast friends and remained so, even as they grew up and went to college on opposite coasts. Just months out of college, Bill’s appreciation of good beer and access to his father’s home brewing equipment inspired him to explore the hobby.
