ROB PINE
Favorite VBC beer: We make sooooo many great beers it's tough to pick just one! I enjoy drinkin' different brews at different times......I go through phases......if I had ta pic a favorite though, I seem to frequently go for the Wallop!!!!!
First (or favorite) beer memory: Ahhhhhh, this always brings a ridiculous smile to my face when I get asked this. When I was 15, I had a good friend who just happened to be 23 as well as running the Beer Garden at our local pool at the time (1992, yeah, I've been around for a minute). I was commuting to a private high school in Hagerstown, MD and would take back roads to get there. My good friend came the opposite direction on those roads a little earlier than I did all week long. He was into "good" beer at the time and almost every morning would put a 6-pack of something random (at the time it was Grolsh, Bass, Newcastle, St Pauli Girl) into a creek that bordered one of the back roads. Another buddy and I who carpooled together would stop along the road, pick up the beer, and each toss a few back while finishing our drive to school. It made high school so much more enjoyable.
Ideal food/beer pairing:. Once again, lot's of great ones but I would have to say I dig Wallop and Ribs.
Ultimate way to enjoy a VBC: This is an easy one. I enjoy our beer everyday all day! Does that point to alcoholism or professional drinking?
Life outside of VBC: When I’m not at work I enjoy chillin' with my family, music, skateboarding, snowboarding, and puttin' a few back. And that usually goes hand and hand with all of the above. But then again, shouldn't it?!
