SPONSOR(S): Victory Brewing Company,  (“Victory” or “Sponsor”) is the United States Sponsor and administrator of the Promotion for entries submitted through this website only.  Entrants using this website for participation should look solely to Victory Brewing Company at 420 Acorn Lane Downingtown, PA 19335 (“Sponsor Address”) with any questions, comments or problems related to the Promotions.  Other organizers of the Promotion, including 4 Pines Brewing Company (Sydney, Australia); Feral Brewing Company (Perth, Australia); Good George Brewing (Hamilton, N.Z.); Meantime Brewing (London; England); and The Brew (Shanghai, China); are Participant Breweries and considered sponsors of the Promotion as orchestrated and executed in their respective location territories.

PROMOTION: Entrants wishing to enter the “World’s Best Beer Trip” (“Promotion”) can submit a 50 word summary and photo to the Sponsor describing “Why I Should Win The World’s Best Beer Trip”, conforming to requirements provided here within the Official Rules.

The Sponsor will select one (1) Finalist; each of the five other Participant Breweries also will select one (1) Finalist.  Six (6) total Finalists will be notified and their entries will posted www.worldsbestbeertrip.com for public voting.  One (1) Winner will be selected based on public votes. Odds of winning are based on number of entries.

ELIGIBILITY: Promotion is open only to legal U.S. residents, except in Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Florida, California and Tennessee, who are 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry. Void in Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Florida, California and Tennessee and where prohibited by law. Officers, directors and employees of Sponsor are not eligible to participate. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.  Disqualified entrants are: (a) all Participant Brewery employees, and all employees of participating Sponsor or Promoters and/or advertising agencies. (b) all people under the age of  21 years;

PROMOTION PERIOD:  The Sponsor’s Promotion runs from September 16, 2013 at 9:00 AM EST though October 22, 2013 at 8:00 PM EST (“Promotion Period”).  The Promotion will have two (2) phases including the Entry phase and the Voting phase. The Entry phase will run through Monday, October 7, 2013 at 8:00 PM EST. The Voting phase will begin on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 8:00 PM and run through October 21, 2013 8:00 PM EST. The Winner will be notified on October 22, 2013 EST.

ENTRY: Entry into the Promotion is deemed to be acceptance of the Rules and confirmation that the entrant has the necessary authority to enter the Promotion.  U.S. entrants should submit their entry through the provided web form available on victorybeer.com; electronic entries made elsewhere, including on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and NOT ALSO submitted through the official entry form on victorybeer.com, are void and will not be considered.  Entries also can be sent to: Victory Brewing Company, Attn: Marketing Department, 420 Acorn Lane, Downingtown, PA 19335 to be considered as valid entries.

Sponsor reserves the right to exclude any person from participating in the competition on reasonable grounds. Inappropriate submissions containing profanity or nudity will be disqualified from the competition.  By participating, entrants grant Sponsor and Participant Breweries exclusive permission to use their names, characters, photographs, voices and likeness in connection with the Promotion and for future promotion and marketing purposes and waive any claims to royalty, right or remuneration for such use.  All entrant personal details must be valid and up to date and will be held by Sponsor and may be used for the purpose of the Promotion and for future promotion and marketing purposes, unless otherwise directed by entrants at the time of entry.

WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: This is a game of skill, chance plays no part in the determination of the winner. The Finalist will be determined by the Sponsor in their absolute discretion based on creative merit and uniqueness of photo and caption. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Only the person who originally entered the Promotion can be named as a Finalist or awarded the Prize (Winner). The Winner will be determined in the manner set out in the Promotion.  The determination of the Winner will be final and no correspondence will be considered. The Finalist and Winner must be 21 (twenty-one) years of age or older and must sign and return liability/publicity release prior to travel.

The winner will be notified on October 23, 2013 and must be available for the preparation of all publicity that may be required by Sponsor and Participant Breweries. The Winner will be determined in the manner set out in the Promotion. The Winner will be notified by email, phone (voice or text) or mail. Where attempts to contact the Winner fail (eg. when the Winner cannot be contacted by phone after three attempts or mail sent is returned). Sponsor will select another winner. If, after successful notification, the prize is not collected within two months of being announced it will be regarded as forfeit.

PRIZE: 
Prize includes one (1) round-the world economy class airfare ticket for the Winner from a major airport near winner’s home, ground transportation to and from Sponsor breweries, over-night hotel accommodations and dinner daily, for three nights and four-days at the Sponsor and Participant Breweries. All expenses and costs associated with the acceptance or use of the prize that are not expressly specified in these Official Rules as being part of the Prize (including without limitation tips, other unspecified expenses, hotel service charges, or applicable passport, visa and entry/exit fees) are the responsibility of the winner. Selection of departure airport is at the sole discretion of Sponsor and Participant Breweries. All fees associated with travel to the departure airport near the winner’s home are the sole responsibility of winner.

The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-negotiable for cash, and may not be resold. No substitution of the Prize or any component thereof is permitted, except in the discretion of the Sponsor and Participant Breweries, which reserves the right to substitute the Prize for a prize of equal value.

The Winner takes the Prize entirely at his/her own risk and indemnifies Sponsor and Participant Breweries in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, property damage or loss of life that may occur in connection with the prize. The Winner is responsible for all insurance, federal, state and local taxes on Prize value, if applicable, are the sole responsibility of winner.

The Winner is required to supply all travel documents (such as a passport and visa) required for travel and must have the ability to freely travel to the countries referred to in the competition. Sponsor is not responsible for flight postponement or cancellation.

The Winner must complete the travel within three months of the announcement of the winner. Air travel is economy class.  If winner is unable to travel at such dates/times, prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected (from all remaining eligible entries received). No other family members, friends, office associates or any other person will be able to participate on the Winner’s behalf.

Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Prize: $4,000. Any difference between the stated ARV and actual value, if any, will not be awarded.  Sponsor reserves the right to refuse to award any prize to an entrant who Sponsor and Participant Breweries decides (in its sole discretion) has violated the Rules, gained unfair advantage in participating in the competition or won using fraudulent means.

LIMITATIONS ON PRIZES. The Sponsor and Participant Breweries reserve the right to substitute a prize (or portions thereof) of equal value if prize (or portions thereof) cannot be awarded as described. The Sponsor and Participant Breweries will determine all elements of prizes in its sole discretion. Prizes may not be assigned, transferred, changed or redeemed for cash, except at the sole discretion of The Sponsor and Participant Breweries.

PRIZES ARE AWARDED “AS IS” WITH NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. SPONSOR(S) DISCLAIMS ALL AND ANY LIABILITY FOR THE ACTUAL PROVISION, QUALITY OR NATURE OF ANY THIRD PARTY PRODUCT OR SERVICE ACCEPTED BY THE WINNER.

The Winner will be required to sign an affidavit and release form (the “Affidavit and Release Form”) confirming compliance with the official rules, acceptance of a prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Sponsor and Participant Breweries, their affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability in connection with a prize or the Promotion. The Affidavit and Release Form must be returned within the time period specified on the Affidavit and Release Form or the prize will be forfeited. Delivery of the prizes will be coordinated with the winner by the Sponsor, upon receipt of the Affidavit and Release Form.

The awarding of any prize is contingent upon full compliance with these Official Rules. Entrants agree to be bound by Official Rules. Entrants understand the Sponsor and Participant Breweries are not liable for injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in this Promotion and acceptance, possession and use of prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Promotion or in the announcement of the prizes. Decisions of Sponsor are final and binding in all respects.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION. Except where prohibited, by participating in the Promotion entrants agree that: all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the participant(s) and Sponsor and its agents shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the State of Pennsylvania without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law of any jurisdiction. Entrant agrees that any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to this Promotion, or awarding of the prizes, shall be filed only in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania and entrant hereby consents and submits to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action. EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED, BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROMOTION, EACH ENTRANT AGREES THAT: (A) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS, AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THIS PROMOTION, OR AWARDING OF THE PRIZES, SHALL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION; AND (B) ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND AWARDS SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED, INCLUDING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROMOTION BUT IN NO EVENT ATTORNEYS’ FEES; AND (C) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY PARTICIPANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN AWARDS FOR AND HEREBY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES AND ANY OTHER DAMAGES, OTHER THAN FOR ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES, AND ANY AND ALL RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

OTHER. The Sponsor and Participant Breweries assume no responsibility for entries it is unable to process due to network, hardware or other technical failures, or any other reason, or incomplete, damaged, misdirected, illegible, stolen or lost entries. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the web site or otherwise, in violation of the rules. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any non-conforming entries. Sponsor further reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or modify this promotion if not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, technical corruption, non-authorized human intervention or force majeure. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor reserves the right to select winner from among all eligible entries received prior to date of cancellation. The use of automated entry systems or any other conduct that impedes the integrity of the Promotion is prohibited.

GENERAL. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use the Finalist and the Winner’s name, hometown, voice, likeness, photograph and any statements regarding this Promotion for editorial, public relations, promotional and advertising purposes on behalf of Sponsor without compensation. By participating and winning a prize, winner releases Sponsor, and its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability with respect to the prize won and participation in the Promotion, subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Taxes on prizes are sole responsibility of winner. For winner’s name, available after October 5, 2013, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to World’s Best Beer Trip Promotion, Victory Brewing Company, 420 Acorn Lane, Downingtown, Pennsylvania, 19335. The Victory Brewing Story

The story of Victory Brewing Company starts on a school bus in 1973 when fifth-graders Ron Barchet and Bill Covaleski stepped aboard, on their way to a new school. The two became fast friends and remained so, even as they grew up and went to college on opposite coasts. Just months out of college, Bill’s appreciation of good beer and access to his father’s home brewing equipment inspired him to explore the hobby.
